This gorgeous sterling silver and onyx necklace is an excellent example of Mexican craftsmanship, circa 1980. The gracefully shaped band collar is adorned with a large, slightly rectangular shaped onyx slab measuring one inch in length. The necklace has an inside measurement of 13 1/2" with additional flexibility. The collar band measures 5/16" to 1" in width and the piece is stamped "Taxco Mexico 925 -Wonderful vintage condition.
My aunt purchased this at Neiman Marcus Bal Harbor in 1987
